We made a proposal to the Myllykoski church extension architectural competition. The task was to design an extension to the old church built in 1936 and give ideas on how to improve the surrounding townscape.

Our proposal “Hiipat” was acknowledged especially for the the architecture of the extension. The exterior architecture was considered strong, elaborate and of high quality while the interior architecture with it’s vault-like ceiling was seen as original. It was interesting to make a proposal to a building design competition for a change. And although we didn’t get any award in the competition we think that “Hiipat” turned out to be a funny little fellow 🙂 .
